Oh yeah, first deviation of the year
Recently I finished The Legend of Groose aka Skyward Sword. Simply a great game.
I enjoyed it a lot. It had funny and even touching moments, the gameplay worked good for me, flying with your Loftwing was fun, the dungeons may were kind of short but still very innovative, the grafics are beautiful, the characters were awsome and Fi is Captain Obvious.
I could write more but I guess I should stop here xD
However it's now among my favorite Zelda games. Not my most favorite that's still the Minish Cap~
Ahem, so about the picture:
I had a love hate relationship with the Lanayru desert. On the one hand I think the idea of the timehsift stones is pretty cool but all those electric enemies were horrible. (Especially those laser pillars (Beamos?)...brrrr.)
But I really liked the part with the ship. It wasn't so special but still a lot of fun so I decided to drew this.
I'm not pleased with the outcome. There are so many mistakes... Links right arm looks weird and it looks like that he only has 3 fingers. (The 4th is hidden...). I also don't like the colouration much :/
The scanner made this even more worse...
And I still have to figure out a good method to draw water *sigh*

This part was my favorite in the game, tough it attacked my feels but I loved it very much!!! The sandship was hard, the only really bad FAIL moment I had was trying to get the dang key in right... I felt so weird knowing I failed so bad haha. But I agree with ForestKitty22, I want to be Skipper's friend too

The Sand Sea was one of my favorite areas, even if it was real depressing. :c

I love this part<3 and the sandship reminds me ghost ship in Phantom Hourglass..though sandship was a lot harder.
(..but yeah, I hate those electric enemies..

I never compared the two ships but now that you mention it...Both were not so difficult for me but I have to agree with you that the Sandship was a little bit harder.
Mostly because of those electic enemies /D Haha, and ground-types would be really nice then xD (It's actually my favorite Poke-type 8D)

It's a very interesting area, the Sand Sea. It's rather nostalgic and serves as an interesting lesson about the environment (WITHOUT being preachy), but it's also a rather sad area, and the music helps convey that. Link's the only one who can fix the regrets...
On another note, it's beautifully drawn. I think you did a good job with the water, and you got the Timeshift Stone effect down pat. Very good work indeed, it's nice and colourful.

Did you feel sad when you got to the skipper's retreat and find all those notes to Skipper and his crew from his family?
The note "I'm proud of you daddy" made me tear up a little.

His whole family is dead and he knows it! Also he was the first robot who mentioned that the timeshift stones are the only reason he is alive...

At first I figured he was like the rest of the robots and didn't realize he'd been out of commission for 1000 years BUT the longer you talked to him, you suddenly realize that he DOES know...which made me sadder. awww. BUT, It made me happy to get his ship back and I figured he MIGHT be able to go back and get them too!

Die Wüste ist der größte Bereich im Spiel, die in mehrere kleine Breiche unterteil wurde. Einer davon ist das Sandmeer. Früher war das mal ein großes Meer, allerdings sit es ausgetrocknet. Da man aber das Sandmeer unbedingt überqueren muss, braucht man eben ein Boot. Dieses wird von einem sogenannten Zeitstein angetrieben. Wird ein Zeitstein aktiviert wird ein kleiner Bereich um den Zeitstein herum in die Vergangenheit versetzt. Bei dem Boot heißt das also, das drum herum eben Wasser ist, wie man oben sehen kann :3 (Langer Absatz ist laaang xD)

Das spiel macht mir superviel spaß! : D
Auch wenn die offensichtlichen Täter immer versuchen irgendetwas zu leugnen und mir auf den geier gehen, es macht einfach spaß! Und gott diese gesichtsausdrücke....Die machen mir angst :'D
