In the not so distant future the Equestrian Empire is much more calm than from the turmoil of times past, with peace being restored to the many groups and nations that were involved around the world. Times had changed and new faces were now rising to the seats of leadership and responsibility for their countries and races. So while Galaxia and Speedy may still be king and rule the Equine empire alongside the family, tis the young blood such as that of their adoptive human son to seek and reach peace and harmony with the future rulers of the nations of the world.After all time sure flies when you are leading a nation.

They are not necessarily appearing older but rather are meant appear exhausted from days of constant negotiations with the other races or species of the world. It is only now when they are at their physical limits that do they allow their son Tommy up to bat to negotiate and discuss polices and deals in his mother and father's place temporarily. An opportunity accepted by the young man whom is willing to support the mares and stallions whom gave so much to him.
