Description
hi!It's been such a loooooooooong time!
Anyway, this is my first artwork in Houdini.
I designed a tool too create a city on a simple geometry base. So that what ever geometry the user passes to this tool, it creates the whole city on it.
This tool has a lot of controls such as the number of buildings and gaps, the height of them, textures, number and size of the docks, extra elements....
the central palace is also parametric.
I used the same tool to create the panels on the base.
The shaders are also written by myself, and it has been optimized by putting only necessary parameters so that the whole city could be rendered very fast .
take a look at my reels, one of them contains the behind the scene of this city:

I would like to get your feedback

Thanks man! yea you really should work with Houdini. It's unlike any other 3D package you have ever seen; its learning curve is steep but it's worth it.

can u explain "Pass a base polygon model to it" thanks

imagine you have a basic polygon model like a plane or cylinder or sphere. you add this tool to it and it does the rest. it's like a modifier in 3Ds Max.

THIS IS VERY GOOD, how did you put all those random boxes in there? Was this some sort of particle flow?

thanks a lot!
no, its not particle. it's a procedural model. you pass a base polygon model to it and it creates all those buildings on it.

thanks buddy!
yes. as mentioned in the descriptions, the same tool is used for the panel on the base.

Houdini is the most powerful 3D package:
[link]
it is mainly used for high standard effects in feature films and advertisements that are not possible to create in any other package. You can write your own tools in it therefore you don't need any plugin for it!
I hope it is inspiring for you to take a look at it.
