Description
This is a quickie digital painting to get my technique down. 1 layer, no blending or smoothing and no eraser. I was trying to emulate a traditional painting style since I suck at traditional painting. The reference photo is stunning and belongs to `guitarjohnny .

I wanted to capture the beauty of the original image as best I could. He might be a frog, but he's still beautiful!
Adobe Photoshop is the most common painting program and hence there are endless resources available online - tutorials, customised brushes etc. The latest version is CS2 bu it's quite expensive. Other paint programs such as Corel Painter are cheaper I think.

After I've done the next couple, I may try a tutorial that goes into more detail in terms of my painting technique than the ones I've done before.
Glad you like.

Holy crap! Incredible digital work! I can't work digital for the life of me. I much prefer to work the traditional method, but this takes skill as well. Fabulous work!

Well I started with traditional, but could never master painting - be it watercolour... oils... acrylic. This style works for me though.
