E-7 First Sergeant Duke is the right hand man of Colonel Hawk, the head of the entire GI Joe team. Duke is an instructor in several special forces schools, fluent in english, french, german, and several south east asian languages, and is generally considered the voice of reason among the ranks of G.I. Joe. He is armed with a Mossberg 500 .12 gauge shotgun, an M9 pistol, 2 M67 grenades, and an M9 combat knife. He is wearing a beret bearing the emblem of G.I. Joe, an M89 load bearing vest with a combat light attached as well as several packs of .12 gauge cartridges and 2 FRAG grenades inside, an LWB with 2 M9 magazines, 2 one quart canteens, a sheath, a medical kit, and an SDU-5E IR strobe inside. He is also wearing a standard issue M9 holster.
