I'm no expert on architecture. Β What era would you say this best reflects?

Log houses has existed for quite sometime in Scandinavia where the technique was created. I'd say it best reflects the 17th century, perhaps before. That said this architectural style is still very popular, but was way more common around that time.

Thank you! And yes, it certainly does - Norway reminds me a lot of Skyrim, especially in the winter.

Good motive and angle , but a bit... hmm... over exposed might be the english word... You might want to check out HDRI: You take two or three photos and merges them together, or the camera does it for you. One picture is over exposed, another is under exposed, and the third is propably just to get the balance right. When the pictures are merges, the completely black areas are lightended, and the over exposed white areas (mostly the sky, or like the roofs in your picture) are darkened, so the motive become visible in that area.Β

Yes, you're right of course. I don't have that sort of camera so there's nothing really I can do about it right now, but when I do get a professional camera I'll keep it in mind. Thanks a lot for the feedback

Yeah, it's a beautiful place. It's located in a open air museum called Maihaugen.
