Description The Sol System as it appears in the year 2012 A.A.
(4452 C.E.)

The ancestral home of all the human species is the second holiest star system to the Elohian Faith and has been declared a Temple System. In other words the planets are regarded as sacred and are to be untouched by sentients (except for Mars). The Sol System has become a great pilgrimage site where you can find people from all across the Confederation. There are 5 great population centers, the biggest is the planet Mars which was a population of almost 2 Billion People, followed by the Asteroid Belt, the moons of Saturn, the moons of Jupiter and almost uncountable habitats around the Earth/Luna System.

Notes: The Earth is being terraformed to its pre-Rama state. To date the world has only 52% percent ocean coverage and will be retained at that percent for the rest of its history. Plants and gigantic airborne seeder aerostats are currently transforming the atmosphere from its current poisonous mix to an oxygen rich one. Mars was terraformed to a certain extent and has countless small seas which can't be seen in the picture above.

"Ancestral Home" was my first deviation and my first attempt at using Celestia to create a work of art. Back then I only had Celestia and Microsoft Paint, now I have GIMP and it sure has been a great help. Anyway, here is the new improved version of Ancestral Home.

Done with Celestia, GIMP, and Microsoft Paint.

The WeMadeIt! system made me laugh for a bit. I guess who ever discovered it never had much imagination.

Hey thanks for the comment~!

Sorry man but there are no greys in the Elohim Universe. One species, the Xians, have interacted with humans in the past and were regarded as gods in the extremelly ancient past. Other than the Xians humans have never met Xenos(Aliens) before the year 0150 A.A. (2590 C.E.) The closest Xenos to the Earth is a primitive species living on a swamp world some 40-something light years from Earth. The next closest species is the Xians in their homestar of HD 28185, a 138 light years from Earth. Here's some intel on it [link]

Yeah, the Earth did get smashed and the re-terraforming is on its way nicely. Like I said in the Artist's Comments, the current water coverage is 52% and its gonna be kept at just that level for the rest of the planet's life. The Earth in the pic looks like a normal Earth but in reallity it only shows the new oceans and a few of the new continents(the original continents were destroyed).

ps. thanks man

No prob, I love the cosmos! Alot of people in my area don't even know exoplanets exist...or that mars has frozen water...or anything at all that's not about tv or iphones...

Haha,I know what your saying, most of my friends in collage dont even know that there ARE any exoplanets in the universe. Heck some of them dont even know that Sol is star like the ones they see in the sky! Well, I guess we must teach them, hopefully they'l learn. Hahaha~!

yeah! And many more feel that the earth is more important than the sun. I explained to them that humanity may only survive a few months to a few years without the sun, but if earth is destroyed, the sun would continue to live on. They only turned their heads at this fact!
And ALL of them think that life is only possible on earth and could never happen anywhere else, even with all this proof! There could even be other life in THIS solar system! What do you think?
