Description
The small volcanic moon of Iofiel, Nathaniel, is shown here with it's parent planet in the background. Of the 5 major moons of Iofiel, Nathaniel orbits just outside the planet's Roche Limit, that is, the limit of where a moon can retain its spherical form and not get destroyed by its parent planet gravity. Hence, Nathaniel is a world living on the edge of existance, being battered by Iofiel's gravity, and its magnetic field, Nathaniel is the perfect image of judeo-christian hell. With a radius of about 999km it has just enough gravity to be able to hold on to a faint, and out gassing atmosphere of CO2, Sulfur and other volcanic gases. In fact, the atmosphere is constantly being lost into space due to the extremely weak gravity, but the constant and violent volcanic eruptions on this gravitationally tortured world keep replenishing the gases at almost the same rate as they are lost. A world of constant change, and a permanent fixture in the Elohian sky.Gas Giant Texture made by
