If you're drawing Basilisk, please keep his head/horn shape/big frill consistent! It's made to look slightly similar to the water basilisk head/crest, which is one of his main defining features.

Here's an OC of mine which I've had an idea about for a while, but haven't gotten a chance to actually design him until now. I'm fairly happy how he came out. Most importantly, he has butt freckles. His design is based on (fairly obviously) the green basilisk lizard, which he is also named after, although HE would say he was named after the legendary reptilian monster.

Basilisk was made to be an "anti-hero" if you will - most of my characters are heroic in one way or another, but Basilisk is essentially the opposite of heroic. He generally sits around in the rainforest all day and gorges himself on fruit, Mountain Dew and Doritos. He loves cheerleadering on for heroic characters and following them around and pestering them, but is lazy and won't often lift a finger to do anything to help. He thinks his advice is helpful, but it is usually not. However, he is good natured, usually up for some fun, and very chill, which keeps him in others' (relatively) good graces. This is the kind of guy who would take his video game waifus very seriously, if such a thing existed in Pyrrhia.

Basilisk has an abundance of freckles because (a) the water basilisk has freckle like markings and (b) he added them because he heard the hero of the past, Qibli, had many freckles, and thought it would be "rad" to emulate him.

He is primarily a RainWing and has all normal RainWing abilities. Basilisk has some late (perhaps 1/8 or 1/16) SeaWing ancestry, thus the webbed spines. However, he has no glowing scales, can't breathe underwater, certainly does not have above average swimming technique. Despite this, his darkvision is slightly better than average, but he's usually snoozing at night and not using it. He claims he can walk on water if he "tries hard" but "can't be bothered."

He and my OC Kraken (Wings of Fire - Kraken Reference ) are most likely friends, partially because they both have monsterous names and partially because Basilisk probably enjoys cheering on Kraken in her heroics and throwing cheetos at her. He has copied her eye color (a brilliant, flaming orange-amber-gold), much to her extreme disgruntlement. Finally, Basilisk is around 8-9 years old, probably 18-20 in human years.
