Description Venus Flytraps, or Dionaea muscipula

Sterling silver sheet and wire, of various thicknesses, a garnet, and a lot of hammering.

Some versimilitude has been sacrificied in favour of making construction easier, though this isn't really noticeable to anyone unless they're familiar with the plants themselves.

Yeah. For the project we had to build a hollowform ring. I strongly dislike hollowform rings and consider them way to huge and gaudy to wear. since I was never gonna wear it anyways, I decided I'd go for the extreme.

What is a hollowform ring?

a ring with a built-up form that's hollow on the inside. The one up there was made out of a pattern similiar to the letter H. The horizontal part of the H forms the band, and the vertical parts are curved around to make a sort of platform, with an open top.

When you flip the ring over they'res a hollow space between the bottom of the platform the plants are on and where the top of the finger would be.

Not really a very good explanation, unfortunatley, but it's hard to articulate without benefit of physical examples.
