the backpack for the aforementioned costume. It is actually usable as a backpack to store items in, and I am rather impressed with myself over this. it's also semi-collapsable (Towers come off the top, tank pops off the side) so it can fit in a suitcase.If I'm feeling supremely lazy it may make a return visit to PAX 2010.

I used foamcore for that. It comes white, so you don't need to paint it. It's got a nicer finish than white paint would anyway.

Mine is effectively a cardboard box. I just added some bells and whistles

So far I've got the gun built. I have to paint it and add the handles.
The cardboard box needs the vent and the silver lips added.. Then it needs to painted..
But, the costume part itself is done with the exception of the gloves. I had to paint some, but the latex paint cracked and fell off. I can't find red gloves that aren't sold in bulk. :c

well, I am sick, but I honestly think all these people being sick has less to do with swine flu and more to do with 5 or 6 days of little sleep and greasy food, follow on both ends by a pretty long trip. but oh well. You even say "swine flu" in a crowd and suddenly a few dozen people magically get the sniffles.
