Description Endless joy, but a moment and place,
When my eyes see your beautiful face.
Oh so free, when I look in your eyes.
My eyes when open reveal my disguise.

What an evil web, I have seemingly spun.
For my heart will not forgive what my brain has done.
A midst the darkness, looms from my wicked past,
My self-conscious soul has caught me at last.

Always so near, yet I do not grab tight.
I know if I did there would be perpetual light.
The truth must be told, but I have not a clue.
This man stands alone, not worthy of you.

Senses go numb, and I can’t seem to see.
How this amazing feeling is controlled by apathy.
Through my heart, all my secrets can tell.
If  this is not love, it is surely hell.

....maybe not entirely accurate... but then again you already knew that, didnt you? it really depends on how you want to look at the words "got away"....in someways yes....in a lot of ways no....at the point when writing the poem, about a year ago....it surely seemed that way.

but you know that.
