Another cartoony-creepy drawing based on a story by M.R. James, one of my favorite writers ever... And I´m not alone saying this, Lovecraft himself praised many of his stories every time he could!
Why? Because his stories has a cool twist in the picture of every character; for instance, the count Magnus is protrayed as a ghost, but actualy is a vampire, but not the crappy shiny ones or the weird werewolf-killer, but something more... subtle
i recommend you to check the story and if you see something similar to this pic, is not a casuality; I used a reference that appeared in a cover of his Spanish version because is wonderful and I wanted to do something similar

This reminds me of The Babadook for some reason...just the way you illustrated it is similar to the style it's illustrated in the movie. I like it!
