Description Random Photography Student: Okay, so I didn't intend to take a photo like this. I'm probably not going to use it for the project. But this guy I know, Eddy, (I got to know him since we were assigned to work on two huge math projects together this year. I DID ALL THE WORK!) ended up with the most odd thing. The teacher handed back his test and there was an A+ on the paper! He got so excited he wanted me to take a photo since I was carrying a camera.
We didn't notice that Double D was upset about his weird score till later. He got an F. He was quietly crying about it. But soon I realized that Double D's paper said "Eddy" and Eddy's paper said "Eddward" (aka Double D)! The teacher just passed back the wrong ones.
Now that I look at this photo, I totally didn't expect that other guy behind Eddy to start eating his paper! Weird... hmm maybe I should follow him next. He might do something stranger.

Look at the top left corner of the picture and this video. Let me know if you have Yawned or felt like yawning.

Okay, so I didn't intend for Ed and Edd to become a huge part in this 'photo'! DX How come every time I venture out to make an Eddy picture AND upload it, the other Eds sneak in. Oh well.

I was a bit lazier on the background of this one (hence all the digital editing) because I was determined to get this done today no matter how tired I was. And believe me, I'm tired.

The four pieces: Ed, Edd, Eddy, and the background were done on individual sheets of paper again. That is why I never considered the classroom organization.

Ehh whatever. I still really like Eddy a lot. I also like sad Double D! As for Ed, lol he is amusing. It was a shot about EDDY though, so I couldn't have all of Ed in the shot and make it still look normal.

At first I was going to say poor Double D, but then... well...

I realized that when Eddy finally realizes that he has Edd's paper, he's going to be severely disappointed himself...

You know, unless Eddy knows all along and is just being a huge troll to Double D. Then I'd just have to give him a round of applause. xD

XD Sadly Eddy isn't trolling. He genuinely thinks that is his paper! Until the Random Photography Student... who I think I'm going to call Jacob, pointed out the obvious.

Thank you for finally caring about Eddy! He was who this picture was supposed to be about.

For that I applaud YOU

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BirchyEd In reply to SilverAce88 [2012-08-15 06:08:59 +0000 UTC]

Well with a lot of my colored traditional art, I use a fine tip and large sharpie (though my fine tip one is dead so... only large on in this sadly), crayons, and colored pencils. I use some graphite here and there. I tend to use crayons a little more often than colored pencils though. In this case I did force myself to use colored pencils more because I needed to practice. So the Eds are all colored pencils with the exception of Edd's shorts. The backgrounds is crayons. But I was so tired while drawing this I had to digitally touch it up a bit. Normally my crayon stuff is ten times better.

SilverAce88 In reply to BirchyEd [2012-08-15 06:17:32 +0000 UTC]

This is pretty good to me. But then, I'm not a proffesional artist by any means and it's your art so you know better than I what you're capable of. I have a tendency to use colored pencils myself. I've never really given much thought to using crayons. And as far as the digital stuff goes, is it easy to learn. I have one friend on here that says she learned how to do it in a day. I'm curious because I want to go into digital art and animation and I want to know if digital art is a relatively easy thing to learn.

BirchyEd In reply to SilverAce88 [2012-08-15 06:31:55 +0000 UTC]

Please forgive me for the extensive response. I talk a lot when it is a topic I love.

Oh I've been doing digital art for many years. Normally that is what I do... actually It has been what I've done the past four years. It has been recently that I've gone on a traditional art kick.
The thing is, I am too inaccurate with my pen tablet digitally most of the time, and learned how to draw well with my mouse. But using my right hand clicking away with my mouse doesn't yield the same feeling as drawing with my left hand does. But until I learn better ways to use my (sadly partially defective) tablet again, I'll probably be making tons of traditional work. XD So yeah, traditional art isn't actually my main level of expertise. I'm just making a lot of strides in it due to practicing it a lot lately.

Most people see crayons as childish (at least as how I grew up.) I was bad with colored pencils as a child. So I often played with graphite pencils or did digital work. So when I discovered it was possible when playing around with some crayons, to make decent art, I kept doing it. I've been drawing with crayons for two years now. "So Long to Life" and "The Falls" are two examples of some of my best stuff with crayons. Though there are colored pencils here and there, the characters in "So long to Life" are all crayon. Half of the background in that drawing is also crayon. The entire background in "The Falls" is crayon.
With colored pencils, I had to be coaxed into them by my friends Donja and Christy aka *StickFreeks a talented artist. Not saying Donja isn't, but she doesn't go on this site.

I too wish to go into the field of animation! But Primarily I wish to be a Storyboard Artist. An actual Animator is number two for me. Followed by Cartoonist and Illustrator. So do you wish to go into 2D animation or 3D?

2D. I was watching "The Pixar Story" on CNBC or something like that and it rekindled my love for it. And to think that there is someone at Pixar that when they started had never even touched a computer prior made me realize that I, a computer idiot that has never had the privilage of learning any digital art as of yet, can learn and potentially make a career out of it. I've recently been struggleing with making much art because I've never been surrounded with many creative sources. Most of my family is not very artistic, with the exception of a cousin who is extremely creative thanks to having had kids, so I've never really had the encouragement to do much art where I would really push and strive to create the best stuff that I can. On top of that, I have a tendency to get bored with things very easily. If I can't find a challenge in things then I will loose interest for a bit. Plus, I find that often times I get jealous of others who have to capability to do so many wonderful things that I can't and rather than strive to better myself to be as good as them someday I often get discouraged and feel even worse. I know that it's a nasty habit that I'm trying to get over, but I find it hard at times. I was a decent artist at one point. A couple years ago, I was capable of much more than I am now, but after taking a year off since college I've ended up letting my art fall by the wayside a bit from a lack of enthusiasm to keep me going.

I've seen some down right gorgious crayon art before. It makes me wonder how they can do it. I'm bown away by some of the mediums people use to create art. There's a girl by the name of =MiyaToriaka here on dA that does some of the absolute best colored pencil fan art that I've ever seen.

Ooh yes, I saw most of Pixar Story. Sadly I didn't get to see some of the beginning.

That is actually really inspiring to me. To find your own support systems is really tough at times. I can totally see why you lost enthusiasm at one point, but I'm so glad you wanted to come back and work harder. Never give up! The Lord is the ultimate artist and I know he'll bless you as you keep practicing. (Btw, like your support Jesus stamp)
My case isn't that similar really. I grew up with art on both sides of my family, even if my mom didn't inherit it. Though the thing is, I am the only artist in my direct family now. My father lost his abilities due to mental issues. I always hoped to get better at him, but I thought it would be through diligent work, not through him becoming worse than I. I guess that you're making me excited suddenly! Thank you for the motivation.

Wow! Thank goodness others do great crayon art! I must say, Miya is a fantastic artist! Wow, that is something to look forward to. I always like that there is someone out there better than us, because we can always work up to that level!

Well, I had this long thing going about all this and then I accidentally back out and lost it all. So to recap. Steve Jobs=never knew he played such a big roll in pixar and actually helped to get it off the ground. He's super amazing and it's to bad that he died because he contributed so much to our lives and we wouldn't be anywhere near as advanced or happy if it weren't for him.

At this point, I was talking about my family history. Mostly about my late grandma who was a big inspiration to me. My mom was somewhat of an artist, but I've never seen any of her art and she was told it was never good enough, so she quit. My grandma was always doodling on every piece of paper that she found. She also played piano and I wish that I had learned how to when she was around. She had a stroke years ago and died years after that. She was such a big part of my life that when she died I shut down and quit drawing entirely for about 3-5 years. I lost all interest then. It took the school that I was attending to finally get a real art class and fantastic art teacher to bring me out of my slump. Then I mentioned something about my cousin who's a missionary in St. Vincent and the Grenadenes. She learned piano from my grandma I mentioned.

Yup. She's great. You should also check out *knucklessilverlove 's art. She a traditional artist that uses mostly colored pencils and ink pens. She's the one I mentioned that learned digital art in less than a day.

And thanks. I like the stamp as well. I also like the God is Awesome stamp.

Oh wow... I'm sorry about your grandma. I wish I could say "I know how it is like to lose someone you love a lot" but I haven't faced much death in my lifetime. I'm glad you came out though.

Oh wow! Her art is full of life. I'm possibly considering making PortalEd a comic test. In comics I like bringing my stuff to life. I could so learn some stuff from hers.

^w^ Yeah. I will have to ask D.A. if they want to be in a tiny part. The Prologue requires several groups of test subjects being mentioned. And considering it is hard to output a ton of OC's I'll just ask. Though they would only get one small tiny picture ever. No story involvement.

Okay. Well, I'ld be happy to help in any way. Just let me know if there's something that I can help with.

And you really need to. You probably know her songs Unwritten, Pocket Full of Sunshine, and Touch, but she has far better songs that you absolutely need to here. She's one of the most possitive, upbeat, and inspirational people I've ever heard.

You need to eventually take the time to listen to Weightless(which is a highly ispirational song about being free and happy), Strip Me(which is a song about still being yourself on the inside even if you've been striped of all that people think makes you you on the outside), Neon Lights(which is just a generally joyful song), Pirate Bones(which is about not doing the wrong thing not being worth it because you loose yourself in the end), Not Givin' Up(which is about not giving up on a love that you feel can be completely real), recover(which is about recovering from a rough relationship or something like that), and several others.

Yeah, I just realized that I misworded the Pirate Bones song explanation. The point is to not do bad things because if you do then you can loose the part of you that makes you you. It's alot easier to understand it if you just listen to the song as opposed to reading my messed up explanation of it.
