Here is the scratch board of Double D.Double D was my guinea pig. I tested EVERYTHING on him. I wasn't sure how easy it would be to carve into this stuff so I made his pose the most simple. His is the one with the most mistakes because I was learning.
I do like how his body is painted though... jut not the head so much.

Truthfully I didn't use the scratchboard correctly now that I look back, but it's cute.
Try practicing realism. The further away a style is from realism, the more you need realism to draw it.
Especially gesture stuff. That's great with Ed Edd n' Eddy style.
