Description Edit 3 : Still working on this, though it's going slow. Still quite a bit refining to do, and then to do some brush work, and make that face less Photoshop smooth.




I don't particularly like using references for images that I may consider one day selling as prints, but if I can't get some acceptable forms on those flowers I may have to cave in. They started as quite sharp and pointy leaves, but they've eventually ended up rounded. It's not just about lines, but the shading as well, quite a few of them just doesn't look like they have a petal thickness. They seem chunky and too solid.

I also don't quite know how to improve the far background, I imagine some willow trees and suchlike, but it doesn't look quite right as it is.

Any others comment to help me making the submerged figure more realistic in the water, improving the composition or anything that comes to mind, feel free to share your opinion

The whole image is beautiful. The submerged part of her is perfect. Not too visible but not invisible either.

#GimmeFeedback Even though this is an unfinished peice i see alot of detail and efforted pushed into this. the small details on the flowers and and the girl make this image pop out almost as if i could touch them and smell them at any moment!. i love that i can still see some of her hair and neck under the water it indicates that shes fullly there and not just a floating head. beautiful work i hope to see this finished soon

Very nice artwork. I actually testing something like this in 3D for a video with flowers opening and camera moving around, but didn't work out very well. Loved to see this one.

This is a very interesting piece. I find the flowers to be beautiful, and I at least don't know enough to see any flaws in them. I like the bit of fear in her eyes and the shape of her mouth. I find the ear looks a bit awkward... like it's been stuck on but isn't quite part of the head. Apart from the hair around the ear, I really like the way you've done the hair. The coils in the water look right. I like the brightness of the green you've used in the plant life. With the light in the setting though, I find the light at the top of her face a little flat, and I'm not quite sure where the pale colour is coming from.

Thank you very much for the feedback The hair is still in progress so eventually some of it will cover the ear. Hopefully that will solve that stuck on look It seems there's several people that find the face a bit lacking in volume, so maybe that flatness is part of the problem there. Though I'm not too sure what you mean about pale colour? do you mean lighting, or the blueness on the chin? (which is a reflected colour from the water in exaggeration)

While now that it's been said the ear does feel a bit odd, I think part of is its reflection is a bit too solid.

Thank you for pitching in Though that's not a reflection, it's the rest of the ear. I don't know how far below the surface you can go before you can't see those forms, so until I make up my mind on that I just painted in the whole ear Still, i appreciate you taking the time to give feedback.
