Description
One urge I have every now and then is redoing and expanding my Hexapod's Evolutionary ChartBut rather than focus on the lineage alone I want to have a notion of the context they lived in and what pushed them to the next stage (and also the type of behavior they had)
This is the very 1st step, a bottom feeder fish that started to prefer shallow waters both in order to escape predators and to feed on the growing population of detrivores (which in turn take advantage of the expansion of larger plant life on land)

Actually they had developed eyes long before. The novelty is having a reason for the fins to aid locomotion in the shallows (the less they swim around the better)
