What's this? Am I actually drawing an OC for a change?!?The big guy is Caeill, a giant who was rescued as a kid by a group of travelling knights and brought to live and work at a military academy, where he eventually became the head dragon trainer (his size, weight and hardiness come pretty handy in that line of work)
The other guy doesn't have a name yet, but he's the grandson of the man who found Caeill and decided to bring him to the academy. And son of the student who was pretty much Caeill's older brother while he was studying there
That's probably why he managed to climb onto his shoulder in the first place. Caeill is not a very grabby person and is a bit too self conscious how his size can easily break someone's bones (he's friends with most people, but some families would love to have an excuse to get the academy in trouble and use it for their own political gain)

I'm currently working on a chart. He doesn't technically have a fixed size because the story covers different stages of his life, so I'm never too sure

I'm thinking of creating a tumblr account for him, so I can post snippets of history, random facts about him and the world he lives in and allow people to ask questions that I would not think of otherwise

If he's not he's quickly getting there. And one more reason Caeill will want him off his shoulder very soon

Or roll it to him, anyway. Question: How easily does he get drunk? Like, if he drinks a proportionate volume of alcoholic beverage, will it affect him more or less than a human?

I think it takes considerably more to get him drunk, proportionally
His kind can digest most raw plant matter, so a part of their stomach is dedicated to ferment the food in order to break down the tougher parts and kill harmful bacteria. As a consequence they have an inbuilt tolerance to alcohol
But he never got around to fully test this because he, and his friends, are not allowed free access to the beer vaults in the first place. The entire kitchen section is like a high security fort

Yep. That's why Caeill needs to be a bit possessive over his drink and food. Otherwise everyone else will get a go at it and ruin themselves in the process

I'm not sure if I'll ever get around to give him one. He doesn't play much of a role in Caeill's story as of yet

I mentioned this guy a few months ago. Scary that I'm like four times his size, though. I've got a dragon that keeps flying away from me and my friends. Perhaps he could use some training? Unless he's like a free-range dragon or something. He almost always comes back.
Is he using a 55-gallon barrel as a drinking cup? Sure seems like it. Hopefully the other guy doesn't fall in, that much beer could be deadly.

The training Caeill gives is mostly to prepare dragons to allow riders on their backs and follow orders and to keep aggressive behaviors in check. But I'm sure he could evaluate the dragon and give some tips on how to reinforce positive behavior
Not exactly. Because those barrels are too much work to refill they simply hand him a full one and switch it out when he's done
As for the guy falling I doubt that would happen. Caeill is already on his way to remove him from his shoulder (he really doesn't like anyone sitting too close to his head)
