Overall
Vision

Impact
Hey dude this is an amazing piece of one of the most beautiful creatures on this planet. (Oh and by the way it's been a while but this is artistkev14 from a while back. It's been a while and it feels great to be critiquing one of your artworks again. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="
" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="367" title="

How have you been?)
Anyways I would like to start with Vision. An artist has to have vision in order to see what he wants to lay on the blank canvas. A canvas is the focal point of an artist's imagination and what is spilled onto the canvas is determined on how much the artist concentrates on that focal point and how much imagination is exerted onto that point. Bisanti saw a Cheetah in a stoic pose with such vivid imagery with a shaded background like a navy blue curtain and that's what we as the audience see so 5 stars for vision because we are able to see what the artist saw and it is quite magnificent.
With Originality Bisanti earned 4 1/2 stars because the pose of the Cheetah coming into the scene is a common choice for wild life portraits.. but however the with those portraits you usually see wild life surroundings or a ordinary background. Bisanti chose a particularity unique background that brings out the cheetah and adds to the cheetah's beauty, grace and elegance. Way to go Bisanti!
As always with Bisanti his technique is executed with sheer expertise and the stokes in the background makes you think that it's a curtain and the cheetah is about to be revealed. The each lock of fur is painted with precision to match the direction it's brushed to give the cheetah's coat a realistic look. The spots are each unique and the whiskers are very thin and yet they are still visible. The tear lines are the most distinct feature of the cheetah and Bisanti has drawn it to perfection to make this big cat stand out. 5 stars for Technique.
Finally with Impact: 5 stars. I am left in awe as I stare at this magnificent piece of artwork and have come to expect from Bisanti. I've been mesmerized by his work when I was on here as artistkev14 and I am glad to see that his talent has not waned a singled bit but only waxed stronger and bolder since my return. I'm pretty sure you all feel the same way as I do whenever you look at one of these magnificent paintings and I'm not just saying that as an artist who truly appreciates fine art and art created by artists have that passion, that drive for art that inspires others to unlock the hidden potential within themselves. Kudos to you Bisanti. Keep up the outstanding work. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="

Hi Kev, it has been a long time.
Goid to hear from you, strangely your critique does not appear on my Inbox, neither on the deviation, i learnt of it thanks to your note.
I continue to mainly be commission for wildlife art and continue to slowly advance on the storyboard of Bunraku comic volume 2 (take time since I was fortunate to become recentl a father again!)
And you how are you

Hey Bisanti. Yes it has been a while. I just needed to sort some things out and find some direction in my art and writing and I'm proud to say that God's leading there. I found a few publisher to submit some literature too. Next week I am going to submit another manuscript to Highlights after I writre a cover letter. I'm waiting to hear from Carve Magazine this month (the final month of the waiting period) and I found a publisher known as Youth Light that I plan to submit to in the future once I complete get far along in a project series I'm working on with my girlfriend (soon to be future fiancee) Sterlyne Juste. (we met sixc years ago.) It's called ''Usagi'' and it's pretty much a children's literature series. The series is broken into two parts the main story "Usagi: Cell 14" and the side stories "Usagi Gaiden". Starting next winter I plan to release 32 books (20 Cell 14) (12 Gaidens) over the course of the years. 5 Cell 14 Books and 3 Gaidens each season of the year. A cycle begins in Winter and ends in Autumn and thus begins another cycle. The story will evolve with the reader so this will be an ongoing series.
Also I decided to adapt the manga style into my own cartooning style. It took 20 years but I decided that eh my original style resembled manga too much so maybe it's time to actually explore that style and apply it to my own and I'm impressed by the turn out. (Haha the reason I was stubborn and refused to acknowledged manga as a cartooning... well back in middle school I saw how some people were so obsessed with it and I didn't want it anything thing to do with it so I just tried to develop a cartooning style on my own which ironically resembled manga. People asked me if I liked anime or manga and I always said no. That continued all the way to senior year. When I actually decided to read a manga after Texas State, Vol 7 of Naruto... I noticed that the style in fact resembled "my" own style. XD So then I acknowledged manga as an art form and studied it and now I realize I actually have a knack for drawing it which is why I'm starting a project called "Project Yonko". I learned the term Yonkoma which is Japanese for a four cell comic strip so. I even have a prologue for "Project Yonko" typed and a character drawn and inked. My last project involves a collaboration with She's a really talented artist and an amazing friend. I've known her for two going on three years. It's going to be a horror project. We're taking turns doing the artwork and I'm handling the writing. It's fun really.
Life has become fun again and less stressful. I can think and breathe with ease and again and not worry about what's going to happen tomorrow. (Through God, Stella, my friends, art, writing, socializing and that perfect, I've finally gotten a handle over my mental disorders and it just feels damn good to be alive. )
Ah man tt's so good to hear from you again. Your wildlife art is lifelike to the point they look like photos. You really have talent and whoever you're doing them are getting their money's worth.
Hmm... that's odd it's probably because I wrote it before I added you to my watch. I'll re-post it for you if necessary.
Bunraku is still up and going? Sweet! I'll have to check that out and you made it to volume 2? Way to go man! That takes dedication. Dude from what I read when I was on here last I the artwork was really stunning and your inking skills was really up to par. So it's just in the storyboard phase? You plan to produce the comic in full color? After seeing that one oriental painting of yours with the kunoichi on the rooftop I can imagine what Bunraku would look like in full color. Either way dude that's going to be a sweet read. I have some stuff I need to finish by Sunday but I can't wait to check out to see where Bunraku has gotten. (I'm still big on Samurai comics dude and yours man is just really awesome. You don't see too many samurai manga these days unless it's whacky or unrelastic. I can think of a few like Vaganond, Blade of the Immortal, and some anime like Samurai Champloo and Afro Samurai. Pretty soon Bunraku will be among those samurai manga and eventually a chanbara film. Keep up the great work man. I want to see how far Bunraku goes dude.
Oh dude a father? Oh dude congrats man! What a miraculous gift! So how old is the child? Is he or she doing well? I bet you and your wife must be pleased to welcome a brand new addition to your family.
Looks life things are going very well in your life dude! I pray that you continue to find happiness and success in your life dude.

That is very good new from both personal and prifessional sides, I an happy for you to hear such giod new. let me know when released I wiuld be pleased to see the result
Usagi mean rabbit in Japanese no? Your project and eneregy will grant you success i am sure
Regarding Our questions, i am not living from my artwork, but I could now hopefully finance all my material with the few sales I made (whilst for years drawing and painting cost me so much). I take my time for the storyboard of volume 2 of Bunraku as Iam currently thinking of doing a children book first (if possible before my sons get too old to hear this story), i an in the hurry since my 1rst son is 4year old and start to learn reading (2nd is 3 month old). I would like to make 2 stories of 10-15 pages using animals cubs but i have difficulties with the script (I think it is very different to write for children)
i was also thinking to rework Bunraku vol 1 in color (and changes the images i dont like) but I decide to postpone it until I master more digital tools. ideally I would love to release vol 1 in color at the same time than vol2 in black and white

Thanks man and I will definitely keep you in the know about my projects. Right now I'm currently working on the written portion of Project Yonko. I managed to finish the prologue and I split the first short story of the first anthology into two stories so I'm working on both of them. Also I plan to work on an introductory essay detailing my bout with schizophrenia and mental disabilities and how they inspired Project Yonko. I want that to be around 30 pages and hopefully I can the first draft done by next weekend and send off the final draft to Sun Magazine by the end of the month. By then I should have ten to fifteen short stories written for the first volume of Project Yonko. My target goal is 45 to 50 short stories before I compile them into an anthology. After I'll include a final inspirational essay about living with mental disabilities and still able to achieve your dreams.
Yep! Usagi means rabbit and I've been working on that project as well. XD Thank you for your kind blessings sir. God has been keeping me focused and on the right track.
Oh so you're not living from your artwork. That's right I remember you mentioning something about your style of martial arts. From your photos it seems very interesting. I've always wanted to take up a martial art myself. What is your style all about? How is it coming along? I bet it keeps your mind sharp as a razor's edge because that discipline shows in your artwork.
A children's book you say? Haha what a funny coincidence. I have a diploma in Children's Writing. (I was going to college as an English Major but dropped out due to my mental disorders, but tried another for art but did better, but still wasn't feeling I wasn't accomplishing what I wanted.) Then I decided I don't need to go to college or some fancy degree to be a writer or artist. I already have what it takes. Then I came across this course for children's writing. I took it and graduated within a year (I was working at the time plus it was long distance but still very effective) Either way that course really geared my mind towards writing for a younger audience and prepped me for the world of a freelance writer.
Art and literature both require the same drive and passion to tell a really effective story. You already have the talent an that passion and that drive in art and as far as you script writing? What problems are you facing because quite to be honest there isn't nothing much to writing a children's book. It' like painting a picture. You have to visualize the scene, create characters, give them a story from beginning middle to end. With kids they want to know why this happened and what will happen next. It's like a domino effect and if you set the dominos correctly you can have a dazzling display that will not only mesmerize the child but will have them asking you to set them up again for them to knock over as in for you to read the story to them again.
You say you want to write 2 stories about cubs around 10-15 pages? Simple. Maybe one of the cubs is simply exploring a savannah
with their parents and is learning about their place in the wildlife. two cubs are racing each other two see who's the fastest, two lion cubs, two cheetah cubs. Maybe a tiger cub saves another cub from a dangerous situation, (because tigers known for their strength.) Those are examples of plot ideas and like the dominos you have to arrange the events of your story in a way that will fall in a mesmerizing as in this will lead to that and that will lead to that and so on and so on. And like a painting you have to fabricate the story in a vivid and detailed way so that the child can visualize every action, even without the aid of the illustrations.
Also the literary techniques can use for adult literature such as similes, metaphors, imagery, personification, alliteration can also be used in children's literature. In fact Kids lovd those. Kids love similes: He's like an alligator. Metaphors like My future fiancée Sterlyne Juste is my Haitian Sunrise (and she is too. XD) Personification like: the leaf dances in the wind. (personification is giving human qualities to inanimate objects, and alliteration like "The swift sword slices silently." (Using a phrase where every word begins with the same letter or sound.) Find whatever techniques works for you and fits the story.
Oh so those are you plans for Bunraku. Very nice. You have your goals set and I pray to God that you will accomplish every task that you set before you and that you realize every dream that beats in your heart.
Good luck Bisanti ~Kevin

Just a question about how you made it: If you didn't edit in the background, did you add it in before or after painting the cheetah?
Your artwork is amazing and I apologize if my question seems stupid.

Hi thanks for your email,
All the work is done with pencils and soft pastek on textured watercolorpaper from Rembrant (apart that I do not goes very in details with the fur and the animal)
I then Scan it. To incrase a bit the texture, I just use the chalk brush (with grain at 7) and a size if 120 opacity at 10%. Just to increase highlit of the background. To finish it I Use equalize function to add contrast
