It is an odd duck from the early days, isn't it? I can see why it was completely redrawn for later publication.

True, and I LOVE what Alex did with it. Which is why I kind of headcanon the original as the parts is parts model, while the more refined version is the actual "factory" model once they fully refined and integrated it.
