the 3058 era redesign by Norse Storm Battlemechs, the 5S was both a showcase of the technological pride and prowess of the Lyran Alliance, but also an answer to all the flaws and poor decisions made by the Free Worlds League's earlier HBK-5M.

Built on an Endosteel chassis, it would demonstrate the new Light Few Engine (stolen from the Dragoons), and the Lyran's love of big guns, with the new, massive Defiance Disintegrator LB-20X Autocannon, fed by an equally outsized 4 ton CASE protected Magazine. The medium lasers, likewise are upgraded, to Pulse models.
