Simple way to catch abra in diamond version: Let Chimchar/ Monferno learn taunt. Sucker can't use teleport anymore!! Just gotta pound his face in before the effects ware out... and then catch!

omg i HATE abra...i was in dewford cave for half an hour looking for a female abra (because i have a male medicham with the elemental punches) and when i finally see abra and throw the ultra ball at her, she breaks out...and uses teleport...never been so mad in my life lol

I just throw a pokeball as soon as the battle starts...works 40% of the time. If you want a 100%, throw a quick ball. problem solved

if you have HeartGold or SoulSilver (or Crystal) just go to Sprout Tower in Violet City at night, catch a Gastly and it should already know Mean Look.

They are annoying to try to catch but are well worth it when they are trained. Just watch out for Dark types. Their physic attacks will have no effect except for Future Sight.

Y'know, I went through countless escapades in FR before I finally caught one of the little bastards, but at the moment, the evolution of that one that I caught (Kadabra) is my strongest pokemon. ;___;
I can't bring myself to name them stupid things, haha.

Those things are alwys hard to catch. It's harder to catch them than legendaries. Same thing goes with Growlithes.
