Well, as I've said before I've seen the other OC development groups try and fail, get filled with whiny sue owners and die a little more as the months go by, I've been part of them so I've learnt from their mistakes, but the biggest problem was the lack of a system, no organization. And we've tried to make the club seem a little intimidating or elitistic so only people that is serious about this joins, although we don't really waste our time with lazy people or 12 years olds that can't handle critique well. To stay in you have to actually work on your OC and not just post pretty art, in fact you have to wait until you've been reviewed before we accept art. Once we have a big group, just like now we close join requests for a month to work on them all and get them to the next level, of course some things may have to change as the club grows. There are 4 levels, we work on different things every level, and there are many other features that we have yet to release, but these things take time, we're just getting started.

But like I said before, we're just covering the most basic sueish issues, and you know how that goes. LOL Well the homunculus are evil... not even human... so well. Still, some do pair characters with them, thing is it rarely makes sense. Anyhoo, that is something we will be discussing in our next guide. OCxCanon.

Sueish characters may be a problem, but have you ever looked at the fact that if you make a Sue it's fun to kill them off?

Thanks. And yeah, I'm aware... I'll try harder next time, but it's a pain since I'm the only one who can translate. Since most of them founders speak spanish and their english is not perfect, the guides were first written in spanish. Hard to find them all and Word is no help. ;v;

And the grammar mistakes aren't that big of a deal, I was just pointing them out to you in case you weren't aware of them and wanted to fix them. And you're right, word is no help! After spell checking crap on word for my fics; I still find a shit load of mistakes later on after I post them!

Yeah, if it was all up to me, they'd be in english from the start, oddly enough it seems to be easier for me to translate from english to spanish and not the other way around. (I is a translashun student.) But yeah, I know they're there, but typos are hard to find.

English to Spanish is in fact easier to translate then the other way around. It's the sentence structure of Spanish that causes this. And yeah typos are hard to find. But anyways, good job on the guide. I'm still trying to motivate myself to actually sign up for the group and fill out the application form XD

I should probably adapt the text and not traslate it. Because yes in fact one can't do it "literally" since sentence structure is so different... and spanish is much richer in many ways, so when you translate you have to simplify a lot. I do think, however, everything is very accurate. At least in the first sildes. <.<;;;
Sadly, I have to accept my english is better than my spanish in many ways. I suck so bad.

First, it's actually spelled "canon". This is what you would call a "cannon". I know I use "cannon", but only to make fun of... a certain type of fans.
Plus, there's this whole "BUT MAH OC EEZ A SUPAH STATE ALCHEMIST" thing. Being 13 means NOTHING for a FMA Suethor; I would point this out.
Lastly, the font's a bit too small, but let me see if it's just Opera.
Every drawing in and after the 3rd page is pure gold.

I love all the body types too. While Arakawa herself has admitted her love of drawing big muscly men and super curvy womean, that shouldn't mean OCs have to be that way too. The chibis at the end just made me laugh. xDD
Erm... and I'm just letting you know this, but isn't FMA based off of Britain? Since all the signs are in English (even in the Japanese version/how Arakawa draws it) and the constant drinking of tea? I know there was an interview somewhere about it.

Oh, really? I tend to stay away from the OC scene, so I've no idea. I do know that Ed often gets paired with other state alchemist though. So many OC state alchemists who have automail. x_x

And you know, FMA is a shonen manga, so when there are women, the constant boobage and miniskirts is to give fanserive to the boys who read it. xD And I mean, I guess they are your OCs, you can give them boobs if you want.

I actually think that Amestris was supposed to be a mix of England and Germany. I think that what Arakawa said was that she based things off the Industrial Revolution (specifically in England). But the use of the Furher title and the country's forgein relations seems kind of similar to Germany (Amestris and Drachma's non-aggession pact seems to be similar to Nazi Germany and Russia's during WWII).

Well you read my mind lol. No to mention the location, Amestris is landlocked, England... is surrounded by water. While Germany is not completely land locked, it's much more similar. And in all honesty,the fuhrer fact plus the foreign relations thing, weigh much more in comparison. And wirting in english was probably just easier, and more would understand. Also, I'd say the Ishvalan issue could be compared to the germans messin' with the jews (?) ... ah and pure blood amestrians having blond hair and blue eyes like the Armstrong family is important too.
Yet again, based of doesn't mean identical, it could be based off of both. But I really think Germany would be more adecuate.
