i have high hopes for batman 5 (aka batman begins). anyway for those who havent heard christian bale is playing ze batman and because of my excitement i just had to see what he'd look like in the suit. obviously the new movie costume will be different.so yea i just took a photo of bale off the net and 'painted' this sad batsuit on him.

I think Bale earned this shot at the Batman role. Especially after his performance in EQUILIBRIUM. Bale kicks ass, and he's going to make this role his own.
Just so long as he gets to share that kick-ass new Batmobile!

Nice picture, but yeah, I hope they do something about the costume, the old one will just invite unfavourable comparisons with the previous films...
I take it they aren't going with 'Batman Beyond', then... I've seen the cartoons on Toonami here in the UK, and the futuristic Batsuit is pretty cool, albeit all-covering.
Meh, I'm not holding my breath waiting for the next Batman film to see the light of day... much more interested right now in what will happen with the next X-Men movie, to be honest...

actually no, the movie will be sort of based on batman year one by frank miller, telling the story of batman's first year as the caped crusader. ive seen sketches of the new 'secret' costume and i have to say its pretty nifty.
i know what you mean about 'another' batman movie since george clooney albeit being one cool guy totally wrecked that franchise as did joel fudgepacker schumacher.
xmen 1 and 2 were cool. im not happy tho about the way they give the other xmen cameos just for the sake of them appearing in the film (eg colossus and jubilee). i wish theyd put archangel in the movie too. did ya know brian singer the director took on the job to do the movies without even ever reading a single xmen comic book?

Cool! I've got a copy of 'Year One' on my bookshelf, will be interesting to see how the film compares.
For my sins, I have seen 'Batman and Robin' in its entirety, and it makes the original 'Batman' look positively brilliant!
Keeping my fingers crossed that X3 doesn't turn out to be turkey instead of a Phoenix...

one of the best books ive read. ive always imagined gregory peck to be a good batman/bruce and the guy who modeled for alex ross in this book is a spitting image of mr peck.

I've got 'Kingdom Come', plus the four (so far) coffee-table books that Alex Ross and Paul Dini have done, each on a different DC character - Superman, Batman, Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman.
I really need to reorganise my bookshelves, though, before buying any more - with all the X-related books I've been buying lately, it's getting a bit haywire...
