Description
The U.S.S. Voyager heads into a dark and mysterious nebular storm that is moving in upon an uninhabited solar system. The cloud appears to be moving under its own power. Tuvok has detected strange energy readings within. As the storm approaches them, the bright sun behind them dimmed as the mist thickened. Before darkness completely enveloped the ship, Janeway thought she could hear through the hull, the crackling of radioactive discharges splashing against the shields outside like hail in a heavy rain.
"Shields are holding," Tuvok announced, as if detecting Janeway's concern. "However, as the phenomenon is moving at speeds greater than full impulse and our warp engines seem to be inoperable due to its gas density, it is too late to avoid this storm. We will have to weather it."
"Red alert!" Janeway ordered as her reply. "We're going in."
