I wanted to add more details and some more tips, but it was getting kind long : S oh well...

I know this question is from a while ago, but both SAI and Photoshop cost money to obtain legally. SAI doesn't have a built in way to created animated GIFS, so that's why you have to put them into Photoshop before getting them to animate properly. However, I'm willing to bet there are online tools for turning a series of images into frames for a GIF, which will be a free alternative if you're saving cash.

There's a way to cut out the "Load into stack" process-- SAI lets you save your files as .psd, which means you can open it like a regular thing in PS and still keep all your layers n stuff.

You've prob have figured it out by now, but no you can't. Da doesn't have any sort of way to put frames together as far as I know.

You could try gimp though! It's photoshop like and supports gif making(and free)

:0 where did you download from?? When I went to go download it it never asked me for an email? I didnt get to the end though bc I don't have the right software to open the download file so that might be why

Sadly, my Email is broken. I can't access it without the password, which I don't know, since the Email is a pass down. I have a back up email,
But I forgot the password O_O'

Ahhh. Could you make another? If you aren't already using it, I recommend gmail. You can set up a number so if you ever forget your password they can text a code to you so you can reset it.

Also if you do go back to download makes sure you go to gimp.org??? Thats the site and I tried to get it somewhere else and it ended badly. I remember from when I used to use it will ask to download some other software and if you say no thnaks or w/e it will continue w/o downloading those

i did everything you instructed but when i click "load files into stack" my computer says that windows does not have a constructor.

Way late and not the author, but you can save your SAI file as a .psd (Photoshop file) and just open it in Photoshop as usual. All your layers will still be there and you can skip the whole importing jazz.

You save the files as png. but then the actual animation needs to be colored white

Do you use a tablet and pen? Many digital drawings have pencil lines that fade and shrink at the ends. I only have a computer mouse and I don't think it's possible to get that effect with mice.
