This tutorial only applies to Blender.
I am not your tech support. Do not ask me questions. there is plenty of documentation on the internet for you to find yourself. It's not my job to link you. Annoying people will be BLOCKED.

For anyone coming here from Google, you can decompile pony models (or any models) using Crowbar:Β steamcommunity.com/groups/Crowβ¦

Thank you for this. I am new to Blender. Are these bones usable in other 3d programs like Poser? The ones saved in SMD format? That's my only question.

I have no experience in those programs, so I can't say. I doubt it however as the SMD format is raw data (it's actually just a txt file renamed) and needs to be compiled into an mdl before it will ever work in source, let alone another engin.

I have been able to extract the obj files from SMB which is what I really wanted. The only problem is textures, but I can deal with that.

I was referring to ragdolls that don't have released source files. Ponies arnt the only thing this works for.

sometimes. I've never tried all of them myself but sometimes a hat that will fit on say the Demoman, could fit just fine on the Soldier, but not always. they need to have similar body proportions and it depends on where the hat is attaching, your best shot is to just experiment.
