Awesome job with the extensive details and pose. Your shading is strong as well. Keep up the good work!

Excellent detail. Although I'm more into drawing in the fantasy world...I do enjoy drawing. But....not as detailed as this. But great drawing!

Oh gosh I saw the replica of this at the Body Worlds exhibit and I accidentally ALMOST knocked it over...then it proceeded to expel millions of tiny preserved muscle fibers into the air... LOL

I love creepy pictures like this!
BUT I fear the feet are way too small.
Smaller than his hands actually. :/
Still

Reminds me of Michelangelo, he painted himself on the roof of the Sistine Chapel, he was in his mind a damned soul or something, he looked like the skin.. just hanging there empty. Wierd. Good job though, it's nice.

Erm .. maybe i'm missing the point here, but isn't this just a trace/exact copy os a piece by Juan Valverde de Amuscos in his "Anatomia del corpo humano"
as seen here ..... [link]
??

Yes, actually. It's not a trace though. I used the original as a reference. I do not claim it is original (as my description indicates).

Reminds me of the body works piece. It was so beautiful I wanted to draw the works that was there but there were too many peeps there that it was difficult to sit and draw.

It's a "Study from a 1556 flayed anatomy cut" from a book I found randomly in the library. I used the woodcut for reference.

well, its very good.....very morbid/macabre.......
I like it......
In ancient aztec (ithink...maybe mayan) culture there is a month dedicated to sacrifices called the flaying of men.....very interesting indeed......

I do beleive there is a photo almost identical the bodyworlds book.
Did you reference off of that? becuase if you did, this is highly acurate!
If you did not, then perhaps you found something similar, and , if you are interested in this sort of thing, look up Body Worlds. I cant remember who hosts this show, but i do have the book thingy downstairs, so if you do want to know, feel free to ask.
Lovely pencil textures, by the way.

The skin bears a striking relation to the same design on The Last Judgement by Michelangelo, although the name of the guy slips my mind at the moment. I'm guessing you drew it with him in mind? I had to study the painting in both my art history classes, which is why the image is still fresh for me (although I took both classes about a year ago, which is still no excuse for me forgetting the guy's name.)
Interesting idea, but what happened to the poor guy's right hand? It appears to have vanished within his skin. It's nice to see someone still practicing what is quickly growing into the lost and forgotten arts, so you've just gotten yourself another stalker. I mean watcher.
