Very funny! I am one of those who thought Amy and Rory gave up a little easily on Melody (I'm not a mother but I don't think I'll accept to abandon my child just beacause the Doctor told me to). I would have love to see Amy punch him for that (she's the only one in the family who didn't^^)

It's well worth it! Especially is you start with Season 1 that started in the early 2000s... (rather than trying to go back and watch from the 1960s episodes... haha, even I don't have the patience for that. )

Besides the fact that the Ponds seemed to be way less worried about finding their kidnapped baby, I'm still wondering how the hell did Mels/River get rid of her brainwashing. Is the Doctor just that amazing that with a little persuasion, River renounces her psychopathic ways and becomes a heroine?

Absolutely!!! So much inconsistency in this otherwise wonderful show.. I thought we were bound to have more episodes of her as an assassin before she made her miraculous turnaround and started to like the Doctor.. but no... One episode was enough for you Moffat, was it?

Well, to be fair, they already know that their daughter turns out as a really badass archeologist. Although, if these were my parents, my mom would be smacking the doctor by then. And yes, they take turns. Because they're dignified like that.

I really liked psycho!River. And I also loved how she attempted to kill him all these difefrent ways, like in Boom Town with the Slitheen.... Evere prepared, are you not Doctor?

Amy and Rory's complete lack of concern bothered me, too... I mean, really? Your only child gets kidnapped by some sketchy alliance, and you don't so much as bother to go looking for her? "Oh, the Doctor's got it... Let's go home. I'm bored. lawl." REALLY? Wtf! Sigh... lol. Being annoyed with the Doctor for falling short on his promise is one thing... But another completely when you're not even straining yourself marginally to help him. lol

LOL THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE ACTUAL EPISODE!

I hated the episode because everything just happened so quick. After all the build up (since series 4!) it's like the answer was just vomited out of Stephen Moffet all messy and unrealistic, and we're just mean to take it? It would have been 100,000 times better if we'd actually met Melody before and we'd been given subtle clues as to her real role in things, which of course we wouldn't have gotten until the last minute anditcouldhavebeenamazing! Then it wouldn't have seemed like SM had just made it up to fill in the blanks, which he obviously did. Yeah... I'm not much of a fan of DW right now. But with that said, I LOVED this comic! It's so true! I especially love Rory's comment at the end. He's gone from being my least favourite character to my favourite in one series!

Very true! It's like they were trying to create a meaningful plot based story, within a crack filler episode about Hitler.. and it was all too rushed annd messy.. And Melody DEFINITELY should have been mentioned before.. even if it was just slipped into a conversation in season 5.. or she could have been a bridesmaid dancing at the wedding.. ANYTHING!!

I'm with you on that - i'm rather losing patience with DW (though the episode where Amy aged, last Sat was actually rather good )

Glad to know I'm not alone. And I know, I really liked last weeks episode as well but it still had me wondering who on earth is this show aimed at? Because I really doubt any child would have got that episodes, do you?

I'm so annoyed how disillusioned I am with DW right now, but at least it's making me love Marlin even more in comparison. And perhaps more people will too?

I loved all the confusion and weirdness in that episode. There was also this perfect quote to sum it all up:

Rory:"I'm getting this sort of banging in my head"
Amy:"Yeah, I think that's Hitler in the cupboard"

That episode was really weird...I had a feeling that Mels was River. They didn't mention Amy naming her daughter after her best friend until 6x08. And I love their reactions to meeting Hitler.
