UGH. I know! I wish they had cared just a bit more in this episode.
They didn't get to raise their daughter, and they seemed perfectly cool with her giving up all of her regenerations. -_-

My favourite episodes were those when RTD was head writer, and Moffat wrote episodes. I don't like Moffat as head. He does great plots, the writing sometimes lacks.
Also, the atmosphere of S5 and 6 are so different, sometimes it feels like a different show...

It does seem like they skipped over so much with River's story... her training to kill the Doctor most especially but also just time to get used to her as a killer/assassin.. I mean.. she killed him and made a complete about turn and saved his life all in one half hour! Talk about making your head hurt.. Maybe we'll have flashbacks to the first part of her life later.. I really hope so.

Yeaaah... as great as Moffat might be at writing delightfully convoluted stories, he's absolutely rubbish when it comes to writing realistic characters with realistic emotional responses to thing (I used to be annoyed at the constant angsting in RTD's era, but now I'm starting to miss it, because the Ponds just don't react like normal parents would do at all...! )

Anyway, fab comic as always!!

AWESOME! Yes, that part was definitely rushed and went somewhat unexplained but brushed aside with all the action and chaos thrown at the episode. It honestly had nothing to do with Hitler

HAha, totally... I was a bit annoyed at how much was shoved into it, too. They should have chosen something more neutral as the backdrop for all the plot points they were trying to deal with at one time. Nazi Germany's just too provocative.

I'm actually getting quite annoyed with Stephen Moffat...especially after this last episode Night Terrors. I can no longer watch Dr. Who with my younger 6 year old sister. Every second episode is part horror and though this may appeal to the older watchers, Doctor Who can't really be considered a family or even a kid's show anymore like it used to be

There was definitely some stalling involved. And besides, Rory punched a Nazi... *twice*. And Amy threatens people all the time. I'd say that the Ponds resorting to violence to vent their emotions is the norm in the show.
