Absolutely!! I don't know why so many people disliked Mels.. I thought she was awesome. Especially in the flashbacks, always getting into trouble and talking back.

Apparently stalling for time is a time lord thing. I love how Mels/River stopped to check out her new regeneration before taking the Doctor out. It was like this weird dance between the two of them.

As far as Amy and Rory not really caring, I think Rory put it best; "Is anyone else finding this day a little trying?". I think they just hit a point of numbness with Mels showing up in a stolen car and hijacking the TARDIS. Then they land in Hitler's office, River shows up and the Justice bot is thrown into the mix just to push things over the edge. I would stop caring I one point too.

That's true.. I hope that's the reason and not just the writers ignoring the fact that these new parents lost their baby and should be pretty much inconsolable. Guess that wouldn't make the best tv, but still!

Yes, me too! Matt Smith's Doctor really is much better than i ever could have hoped for, I think he's great.
