In this case "positivity" means happiness in the simple things, like a peaceful autumn day, and of course cats are zen masters being able to enjoy the simplest bit of happy moment.

It's been a long time since I worked with traditional media! I just couldn't wait to try my newly bought soft pastels (brand: "Simbalion") - maybe not as famous as the other brands (and I got that heavily discounted, hehe..) but turned out I'm very satisfied with the results, highly recommended for a budget pastels! Also experimenting with drawing on a 300-gsm watercolor paper instead of a specifically pastel paper, and the result I'd say is quite satisfying, although it doesn't absorb the pastel particles as much as a pastel paper (I coughed often when drawing lol).
