I can't see any mistakes in "sun", have you corrected it?
Looks extremely awesome btw!

That's just insane... I love it. I can write "Bow ties are cool", but nothing that awesome.

Is it the whole poem?
I seem to be somewhat lost after a short while...

Man, this would be perfect for a tattoo, wouldn't it? I was planning on doing it, but after people pointed out there's a mistake (and I can't find it cuz I forgot how to write in gallifreyan), I'm stumped, haha! But awesome work!

In the word 'sun' the first letter should have three lines and doesn't.

AWESOME
I love how it's laid out. Took me a minute to get the hang of following one phrase to the next, but I got it in the end! So cool!

what does it say if you translate the writing on the cradle in the episode? (i would do it myself but i'm still trying to learn gallifreyan.)

My version isn't the official BBC version, they just use random cool-looking circles.

oh ok. but wat would be the closest translation to your version. i think it would be funny since theirs doesn't actually translate because they are just circles.

haha that would be funny, but they're just not close enough to be able to translate. It's like trying to translate a bunch of lines into Englishβmaybe you see something that looks like an I or a T or something, but most of it's gibberish.

great gob with the circles I only found one mistake and that was the S in sun. It doesn't have any lines.

It took some time to recognize the greatness, but this, this is brilliant!
The way you handled repetitions, it's beautiful and elegant like a well-written program.
I love it.

Where can I find the rest of the grammar guides to writing in Gallifreyan? How do you put sentences together? btw, this is so cool! I really want to learn how.

A more comprehensive guide will be up sometime around Christmas, until then I'm afraid I don't have the time.

Sorry if i ask... but what does the bigger circle (after the first demons run) stand for? And the smaller one? I've just read yor guide, it's awesome *w*

BlackHatGuy In reply to Cerperi [2011-12-14 01:13:41 +0000 UTC]
Counterclockwise from the bottom, they are "demons run", "when a good man goes to war", "friendship dies and true love lies", "night will fall and", "drown the sun", and "the dark will rise". I think.
This poem is confusing because a bunch of stuff repeats, so I had it loop back on itself a lot.

Am I mistaken or did you miss three lines in the s of sun?
Trying to wrap my mind around your Gallifreyan writing system. It's really neat.
Love what you did with the connecting lines to only write each part of the poem once.

By golly, so I did! You're the first one to point that out
Thank you!
