Description
[link]I live in Texas and there are thousands of refugees pouring into our cities. I am going to do the best that I can to help with the relief effort. I hope everyone donates at least $5 because if everyone did that would put millions of dollars going to good use. Save the McDonalds for one day and use it to help with this devistating event.

But of course, the damage that Katrina did is in no way funny.

I'm on online editor for a community college newspaper in florida and I was wondering if I could obtain permission to use this picture on our website ([link] ).
You will be credited in full for taking the photo and you will be provided with a PDF of the page that it appears on for your portfolio.
There is also a chance that this may be used in the print edition of our newspaper. If this happens I will mail you a copy of the paper as well. =^_~=

I would love for my photomanipulation to be used for your website. Please note that this is not a photograph taken by me. I obtained this through a website and it is public domain to be used. I literally drew "Help Us" on the side of the building...just trying not to confuse anyone who visits your website or your supervisor or anyone else.
I am astounded that you want to use this photomanip. for your website and/or newspaper. You have full permission to use it as long as I am credited for the design. A PDF file for my portfolio would also be great! Keep in touch and let me know more info as it becomes available.

Do you have a link to the original photograph? You will be credited with the manipulation, but we would also like to credit the photographer for their contribution to the work as well.

We probably can't use that then since we wouldn't be able to obtain permission for the original photographer.
Mergh... that sucks. =;_;=
I really like that picture.

It states on the website I got it from that it is public domain. You don't need to obtain permission from the original photographer if it is public domain.

Okay. I'll submit it ( with the other 2 pictures that I got permission to use) to the executive editor at tomorrow's meeting. =^_~=
On a side note, now that I've seen the original... you've done one awesome job on taking such a happy picture and changing it to match the feel of current events. That's poetic in a way of it's own and it's super awesome!

Hell yeah man. My mum and I have gotten together about 11 bags thus far, and I've donated some cash.
I think there's some art thing where you can donate art for the cause of the help. It was in the latest HotTopic message thing (I think).
Awesome picture quality too.

I wish they would allow image submission but unfortunately they only want to sell the art from the artists home, already framed and everything. They reimburse shipping to the artist though so thats a plus.
