Feel free to use this on your profile, I made this myself just because I couldn't find any sort of eye-catching buttons or stamps relating to this issue. Well except these two I foundBut those apparently aren't noticeable enough as I still receive request now and then despite using one or both of those on my DA ID and journal on my profile page. Therefore this was created, and I hope it is attention-grabbing enough with the blinking >.>;
Fyi, I am permanently [<---EMPHASIS] not accepting request. Due to various personal reasons.
The only thing you can get something from me are art trades and/or commissions (but that depends on when I'm open for them, and I do not accept reservations to be fair).

I'm in the greay area of requests on one hand it can get real annoying to wher i may report people who try to ask me into ding one but I respect artists who are open to requsts so I support them as well.

i admire those who do requests but i personally just don't feel comfortable about doing &/or taking requests (same with commissions) as i don't know what they'll ask me to do & it may not meet their expectations.Β

I know what you mean. I usually do fanfic requests, but the last person I did one for doesn't seem to agree with what I writed and I had to fix it. I was kind of frustrated, because I had no idea what to write and I was stuck. Thankfully they liked the second one and ask me for more, but at that point I couldn't handly continuing the story, so I cassually said I can't.

I fuckin hate requests. Mostly because some people get so liberal with them that they stop. So when I request something they usually deny it because some cunt asked for too much.

It's called being nice. Some people cant afford fucking 50$ to give to you on a peice of fucking art. When people, aka GREAT artists, are nice enough to do requests for me, I donate to them when I can. I like to Roleplay with my character but cant do that when people want 100$ for a reference, so I sometimes go around asking people whom are nice to see if they can help out with me and make me a refrence. I already have great artists that help me and I message them everyday to see how they are doing, And I suggest that they should do commissions because they are having bad money problems, and I can't help because I dont have any money to give. but anyways, thats off topic, Yes, its rude people pop out of fucking no were and ask for a refrence, but half of the time people cant afford money out of their ass to pay for art, and go around looking for help, which is what I do. If you cant do requests, then you cant do requests. But the fact that you wont do them without gaining something out of it is bull shit greed.
When you do them because you NEED the money, THEN that's not greedy.
When you don't want to do them, because its your time, and you just simply don't want to do them, then that is fine.

Also, being an artist is like a paying JOB to these artists. They need money to put food on the table. You can't get a free meal at a fancy restraunt or help get your sick dying cat feel better for free. This is the United States, kid. Almost EVERYTHING costs money nowadays. And paying artists need that money to do the things I said.

I look for stamps like this before asking for freebies. I'd rather pay for artwork though, so it's not like I leave if they wish to be paid (unless I can't afford it). If it weren't for the people on DA, my OC wouldn't have anything to make him look good aside from text. So I appreciate the time and effort they put into the work, and have no issue with rewarding them for it.
