to use it post game and trade it into a game you're not doing a nuzlocke in. in a way you do need all the pokemon you can get, but down the road you'll still end up having a decent amount of extras in the box in case you stop using one on your team or something if you're catching a pokemon a route despite the deaths along the way

This is one of those double-edged-sword situations, on the one hand 'Yay a shiney' on the other 'She faints, she dies and i'll have to release her'.

Nobody wants to be the guy who said "My shiney pokemon just fainted, oh well, i guess i'll release her", which is why, even though she'll be one of my main team, i'll never risk sending her into a situation i didn't completely think she could handle.

Her capture was sort of a bittersweet moment, it was good in the fact that she's a shiney, but on the other hand, being a Nuzlocke run, if she faints, i'll have to release her.
