If you throw literally ALL of your character points into intelligence and only spare enough on Wisdom to avoid a heavy penalty, the result will be laughably, redonkulously fragile at Level 1. But, if you take Animal Companion: Wolf as your first or second feat and specialize in ranged combat and ONLY ranged combat, you can keep most enemies at sufficient distance to keep from taking you out when you've only got one or two hit points. When you get Fire as a discovery, that opens up the game.  By the time you're at level 5 you've got Armor Use: Steel and most everything else that threw their points into Strength and Constitution and specliazed in Melee Combat, Natural Armor and Poison can't touch you unless they just get lucky.  It's my go-to strategy.
