You make it very easy to be that way.

Maybe he should write down a description and stick to it...

Yeeeeeah...but that would make too much sense. This is a comic, things can never be that simple! Right?

Jesus. In a way, I suppose its kind of convenient that she has it, then. But I could see how that could weigh on his mind/conscience pretty heavily too. I'm hoping to see a triumphant yet simple coming-to-terms, with whole-hearted acceptance from his mother, but I also know that's not entirely the way the world works.

Great work, as usual. This series as a whole is a really engaging piece.

Thanks man, I really appreciate that!

So when I originally wrote this story, it was like a pretty short self-contained thing. There were like two more scenes after this and then it was over. In the original draft he didn't even mention his mother at all. I was kind of unsatisfied with it because it felt like it was just missing something, like there no real closure or anything. So I decided to write a sequel. But I felt like that had the same problem. So I started writing a third part...

In the end I wasn't happy with that either, so I scrapped it and kind of reevaluated what I wanted to really accomplish with the story.

Long story short: above all else, it is a story about self-acceptance, and the bumpy road that it sometimes takes to get there. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how the story ends up progressing, and I really look forward to sharing more of it!
