Suddenly Nero arrived in the lab, shouting something about the machine. Axley jumped and spun around, very much alarmed. He held up his long hands. "Nero, Nero," he said calmly, "We are all on the same team here, are we not?"

This is an illustration of a casual/mini RP we did on New Year's Day. [link]

Slate and my Axley were working with DNA near the cloning machine, and even though they weren't using it, Nero got very upset with them. He's very protective of that machine. He also might be hiding something...

Anyhow, this took about 3 days to make, from drawing the lineart to finishing the coloring finally. :/ I'm very pleased with it.

I think Slate looks a little too much like a dinosaur, though. *cough*i have no idea why*cough*

I think Nero came out great, especially since I had to draw him at a 3/4 view from behind.

Then it took me a lot of sketching to get Axely's arms and hands in the right pose. Gosh, he's such a humanoid character. When I draw him I can't draw paws and get around the hands, lol.

The background really drew on my knowledge of perspective, but I like how it came out.

Also, I did not draw any of the robots because they weren't really affecting the story, and stuffing them in the drawing would not be necessary. Furthermore, note that I changed the clothing on all three characters slightly. I wanted to draw Nero's hind paws and Slate's lizard feet. Then I gave Axley jeans because I wanted to. XD
