Description
Today i did Gazpacho. Many of you may be familiar with this typical Spanish dish, many of you aren't.
Gazpacho is a cool soup that is easily done, providing you know its process... so i have put it here for all of you to enjoy. I won't talk about weights here, i haven't seen two people do the gazpacho the same way. Each chef alters proportions of the mix to fit his taste.
For doing gazpacho, you'll need:
- fresh water
- bread (usually you use dry bread, instead of trashing it)
- onions
- tomatoes
- red peppers
- cucumbers
- vinegar
- olive oil
- salt
- black pepper powder
- red pepper powder
I am filling two pots with gazpacho here, only one is too few in my home (my family drinks gazpacho as if it was water)
1) You have to put the bread into the water, and let it absorb all that it can. I usually put the bread in little pieces, it's faster.
2) Peel the onions and reduce them to little bits. Put them into the pot
3) Do the same with tomatoes. Some people peel them, some not.
4) The same with red peppers.
5) The same with cucumbers (you have to peel them, cucumber's skin is crappy)
6) You have to add oil (a quarter glass) vinegar (a whole big glass) and salt (two little spoons) <- This is for a whole pot
7) Add black pepper powder and red pepper powder too.
8) Make sure it's all well-mixed
The only thing left to do is put the mixture into the fridge, and serve it cool! YUM YUM!
+++++ UPGRADES: +++++
1) You can easily upgrade a Gazpacho using "picatostes", that is, you should reserve part of the stuff (tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and onion) and cut it to little cubes. When you serve the gazpacho, put a plate with all the little cut pieces there, each person adds the "picatostes" as he see fit.
2) This Γber-upgrade involves bread. You cut little bread cubes, and fry them in olive oil. When they're cool, use them as "picatostes".
***** NOTE *****
Some people don't use bread and water, instead, they use only vegetables, using maaaaaaany more tomatoes to do the base of the Gazpacho. I don't recommend it, since it uses much more vegetable stuff, so it is more expensive, and the taste doesn't improve as much as the money spent.
Some people add garlic to the gazpacho. I don't recommend adding many garlic, since its taste is very strong, and kills all the gazpacho taste instead of improving it. You can try adding a little, it isn't bad, but look out

You'll do the right thing... it is really good for summer season... a cold bowl of gazpacho is really refreshing with all that heat...
Enjoy it!
