Are dalmatians as destructive as I hear they are? I always wanted one when I was a kid but my parents were told they chew everything and are very hard to train. But they are adorable

I'm sorry to say that I don't know that much about Dalmatians.
But Axa my friends dalmatian (and the dog on the photo) is competing in obedience training and she has won alot.
But she is also a very stubborn dog.
