Description
A bunch of quickie brush doodles mashed together! These were individually done on bookmark-shaped pieces of paper for band seniors graduating this year. 'twas fun, if rushed. Unfortunately the scan job was also done in a jiffy, some cut-off edges weren't meant to be that way, whoops.Edit: I missed a couple. Stuck 'em in the corners, whee.

Operation: DAcreep complete!
I played trumpet for a bunch of years (Like 6?), but I haven't played since the summer. (I was having an existential crisis because I hated what we were playing in band and I felt like I wasn't doing anything meaningful, so I couldn't motivate myself to practice ANGST ANGST.) I've been playing jazz guitar for like 3 or 4 years ish, but I don't brag about it so much because usually people who play guitar are all 'CHECK IT GUYZ I CAN PLAY THAT GREENDAY SONG FROM THE GREENDAY MUZICAL.' (the base line for the chorus of 21 Guns turns out to be identical to 'twinkle twinkle little star' except the last note goes to the 5th instead of the 1st. I know this because I had to listen to everyone play this song every day for a week. It was awful. GOD I hate guitarists so much.)
I think I write too much What about you?

Yeaaaahhhh
Hah, good thing guitar isn't my main instrument. Kudos to you for jazz guit though! D'ya play with a band or anything these days? I was in concert band for six years too (and then some, but less steadily) on percussions, went through a marimba-intensive phase before settling on the drumset, which is what I do mostly these days, with the odd sprinkling of noobish guitar (not green day though) and bass, which is always fun. Speaking of green day, one time the band conductor got a green day score for band because he was trying to be cool and young and hip. It was an awful transcription to boot and had terrible boring drum parts, so we ditched it after five minutes of sight reading. Though, my personal earpain song back in high school was Wake me up When September Ends, every time I heard the drum intro (kick kick snare kick kick snare. Kick kick snare kick kick snare openhihat. Guh) it was extremely groan-worthy.
I think I write too much too 8D Who needs paragraphing!

Word, paragraphs are for squares! (Yeah, I say word. It's awful.)
I'm not in a band with guitar, no, I just play with my guitar teacher, who's kind of the coolest guy ever. He's like 50 and is a total Marxist, and teaches college level physics and philosophy (not in the same class although that would be awesome), and he programs computers and stuff. I don't think I have enough technical skill to join the concert band I was in for trumpet with guitar, and my school doesn't really have a band. (It has 'rock ensemble' but they suck and I somehow doubt that they have guitar parts in chamber ensemble, which is a fucking shame because classical guitar is where it is at.) (I also say 'where it is at.' It's pretty awful.) I was talking with a friend of mine who sings to start a bandy band because she wants to start singing again so maybe she can try learning Indian Classical in college, but I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen, as awesome as that would be.
I'm hoping I can start a blues ensemble or something in college so I could keep myself practicing. Because blues is the bomb. (So very awful.)

Ooh, you gets to take classes (I never did--actually, I'm teaching now without having ever formally learned drums, wahey). Your guitar teacher does sound like a fascinating kind of guy! I'm taking a class now about sound, with a lot of it about computers as well, possibly a thing he might be interested in, heh. And yeaaah back in high school I was all >: about not being able to find suitable people to jam with, though now in uni I'm in this club that pools musicians and lets us form bands on a gig basis, which is a slight improvement, but it's more rock/pop than blues or jazz, which is pretty rad stuff. Hope you do manage to get a blues ensemble or something else suitable started! Else most colleges do have some sort of jazz ensembles (which might dabble in blues now and then), I think? Also look no paragraphs wewt.

Eheh th' dude that was for actually plays the lot (though it's a baton, not a piccolo! Also, not simultaneously) xD
Wasn't intended to be a kangaroo either, but now that you mentioned it, I'm not sure what it is any more either.

ok. cuz all I recognized wuz the English & French Horn and the oboe, which is the instrument I play. Somehow I always name the oboe that I use (like Bobo, Lobo, Gomo, and the newest one, Homo)

OH MY GOD YOUR BACK, its AWESOMENESS YOUR BACK!! Great, now i can finally see a Singaporean artist doing pencil again! *weeps*
Indeed this piece is a beauty, because of its simpleness, and the texture and lines are extremely smooth and well done. Each character is also instantly realsitic, even when portrayed doing stuff they would not normally do...XD. i love your anatomy, and the elegance in it.
