Chapter 2: A King's Arrival is Never Silent
Arc 1

Summary:

It's another typical week, at a Monday of all places, Satoshi, Nagisa and Min pack up for school and head off for class, and during the day, it's pretty typical, nothing special goes on until there was a special announcement. A Field Trip! Which got Satoshi excited, as there's something fun to do, and he gets to hang out with his friends on the trip.

Meanwhile, the day at work, Hikaru and Samuel were chatting about various skin samples they had found, if Godzilla was an immortal being, and cannot die, while Commander Kyne checks the monitor for any signals, and when they can plan their next move, while Himeko herself was worried that they might end up putting her children's lives in danger, but Hikaru assured that he's here for Himeko, and so is the GRF. One night... at a beachside of Honolulu, a terrible storm rages, the trees blowing, beaten against the powerful wind currents. The family tries to endure the currents, but mother nature won't be the only one coming to town, but something much grander. A flash of lightning strikes on something sharp, and decimates the entire neighborhood, a burning trail engulfs the field, accompanied by a monstrous howl that shrills through the night...

A week later, the GRF gets a call, Himeko, Mikaela, and her girlfriend Nicole get a call, and are pulled in to investigate, the place was wrecked and deserted, with little to no survivors, all but one... The three go to interrogation, and the survivor mentions there was a dark blue monster with jagged spines as tall as a mountain and sharp piercing golden eyes, with a flare in them, and after the desecration, it vanished into the night... Mikaela suspected this could be the work of Godzilla, but for what reason, maybe it could be the search for G-Energy. It's such irony and a shame that what is the viable energy source that keeps a Populus growing, can also be a beacon for the massive Titan...

Meanwhile, Downtown, the students are having a blast themselves, taking the tour around the downtown area, Satoshi particularly is enjoying himself, venturing into the vast city, with so many things to do, and also getting to take date photos with Ferrera, and many snacks to buy with Nagisa and Rosa, it's a blast. Though Satoshi has to keep in mind about him and his family recruited by the GRF a secret, feeling a stressed feeling in his gut, that some bad things may happen, since the world changed, since five years, Nagisa tells him not to worry.

Some hours passed during the afternoon, the sirens around the downtown area go off, and Godzilla has risen once again, making landfall into the area, thousands packing for their lives, as Godzilla takes a whiff of the air around, magnetized by the scent and presence of G-Energy, and makes rampage around, unfortunately, all the students split off, and Satoshi hears a familiar roar, as emotions and memories rushed through the boy, a nightmare, a trauma, frozen in terror, Nagisa shakes him, snapping him out of his daze and he tells them it's Godzilla. And everyone makes a run for it, as Godzilla lays waste to the city, crumbling the buildings and streets, and trampling people unlucky enough to stand in his way, Satoshi and his friends find any hiding places. GRF forces are rolled in, to deal with this threat, and Himeko, seeing Godzilla on the monitor, and sensing her children are in danger, jumps in and goes on a rescue mission for Satoshi, Nagisa, and Min.

The military gave Godzilla they got, and they have improved their weapons and technology, during the last five years since the Hellfire. Godzilla on the other hand has a new trick, his eyes glow blue, as well as his spines, taking a deep breath and marks glow on his chest, as everyone watched and fires a blast of concentrated atomic energy, burning almost as hot as the sun, incinerating most of the minor artillery, while many new weapons, the Walkers stood their ground and fired away, the beast hissing, glaring as he shot fireballs and blast the Walkers, which is enough to budge them from where they stand. Above, Himeko was flying her jet, and sees the ongoing chaos, and spots Godzilla, and it was the same monster she had seen in Tokyo... Now carrying ugly battle scars, the monster looks up, carrying this smug look, as Himeko zooms, seeing some people running, they were Satoshi and his friends, on the run, as the monster looks, a grin faintly turning on the creases, seeing the humans, and flops down, crawling, Satoshi running, as Godzilla was behind them ever so closely. Rosa trips and Satoshi stops, the french girl looks up, screaming, as Godzilla begins to lift his head, and Satoshi rushes back to get Rosa, pulling her, Godzilla slams down, missing his target. Turning to Satoshi, a glare on his flaming eyes, making eye contact to Satoshi, as if he remembers, before they glow again, and his mouth opens slowly, and Satoshi realize they're at the light of a tunnel of death. Before Godzilla could blast the two humans, a missile is fired, and Satoshi looks up to see a fighter jet. Overwhelmed, Godzilla leaves and retreats to the sea, and the jet lowers, the one piloting it, reveals to be Himeko! She came downtown to rescue her kids, knowing they were in danger with Godzilla, as mother and son have a tearful reunion.

Will the GRF stop the wrath of the mighty Godzilla? What other challenges await in this world of monsters?
