In grade 7, everyone had a white pullover shirt with a rainbow across it. I couldn't wait to get one. They just seemed so bright and colorful, albeit faddish.
Rainbows have universal appeal (they also look particularly good against a white or light blue background). The teardrop texture is interesting.
