I think a brain is quite an intimidating thing to draw. I think that, the lines dividing the segments could do with some variation. Like, making them lighter at some points.
At first I thought this was Samus or her ship for some reason.

It really is. Whilst the shape itself was easy to capture, the line structure was very hard to simplify with pixels.
If I can, I may go back and make some tweaks to it bit by bit.

For sure! It might be one of those objects where you have to skip making lines and try just use shadows/highlights to give the illusion of the lines. Though of course it depends on the size.
