First of all.
This piece lured me to say something about it.
It was something somewhat unpleasing to the eye but at the same time it made me question on what it is and how it should be approached.
Never have I ever seen such a spectacle this unique.
It's both confusing and at the same time calming. It made me think (lol which I don't usually do unless needed).
More or less a true conceptual art you have here.
I also love the crumbling part in the middle where in there's a fine line that holds that thing or tree. A great combination of blue, black, white and the dust brush of black.
If you added a bit of the blue somewhere on the sides of the tree it would have made it looked like it glowed, but this is already enough to make someone comment or give their insight.
You can really see the beauty in the chaos in this piece.
Great job!

This is one of the rare pieces where a lot of different mediums are used. I feel like this is unique in the sense that the texture created were using drawing marks instead of the usual collage of material such as fabric.
There is also a good vision in this piece and it is original quite original in terms of how the piece gives of the vibe of feeling of both summer and autumn/winter with the choice of colors.
However there are some area that I believe could be easily improved in order to leave a stronger impact on the audience. With the current silhouette of the tree I couldn't tell what it was until I read the title of the piece. Trees really don't look like a blob, it is a good idea to do some studies and use reference when drawing the tree.
One more suggestion would be to increase the contrast of the land (white area) to the trunk of the tree. There is very good contrast on the upper part of the tree with the black. However the trunk and the roots of the tree just kinda off blend together with the land. Maybe this was intended, however if it was not it will be better to add more contrast to bring out your focal point (the tree)even more.
Overall it was a very interesting piece. The use of multiple medium on the same piece gives off a unique feel to it. I would look forward to seeing more amazing pieces such as this.

Thank you for your critique! First one I've ever recieved Thank you for your kind words, and your honest criticism. Theres only 2 small things that I would like to say to this, the first being that the form of the tree, as you said is not very obviously a tree till you read the title. This was intentional, Most of my work is very abstract, I like to leave everything up to the viewer to interpret, so that if someone sees something else in it, they can let me know, as it always intrigues me. I think the fact that its not very clearly defined as a tree is a feature rather than a drawback, but, I respect that you think otherwise and hey, to each his own!
Also, the lack of contrast between the trunk of the tree and the ground was intentional, I wanted to show how they are connected, and rather than contrasting the ground and the tree, I was trying to contrast the Land and the sky, ( hence the dark colours around major points where the sky meets the ground/tree. Other than those two things I have no quarrels with your review and thank you very much for taking the time to take a look at my work

You're very welcome.
And not at all, sometimes we manage to make things that we are genuinely proud of, it's a good thing.
