Description
HannaiThe city of Hannai ('meeting place of the Han (the princes)') was built in the second of the two oldest fortified places in the territory of the Taribian tribes, on a hill in the easternmost loop of the Sheyshen. This river comes from the north as a tributary of the Amaar, and flows into the Circle Sea a little east of Hannai.
Even before the Oath, this elevation was considered by the Tarib tribes to be the centre of the world and closely connected to the gods, so that the annual meetings of all the princes of the tribes took place here. Since 27 YatO at the latest, a prince of princes had been elected at the start of the meetings lasting several days, who then presides the meetings, sitting on the 'Golden Navel Stone', a gold-decorated stone rounded into a hemisphere at the top and about a foot high. In 27 YatO the stone was housed in the newly completed, purpose-built treasure house, on the southern part of the elevation, near the temples of Tyrima and Orem.
It stands to reason, that in 1213 YatO, when priests from Harna and envoys from the thirty tribes compiled the writings in their canonized form in Hannai, a more extensive infrastructure was already in place at this location. At least the 'port near Hannai' already existed at that time at the eastern end of the loop of the Sheyshen, only a little distance from its mouth, for from there the copies of the Written made at Hannai were spread throughout the Oikumene. The harbour is today located directly outside the city walls.
The lists of rulers kept in Harna show, that the 'King of Hannai, blessed by the gods', claimed the 'Golden Throne' for himself and his descendants in 1284 YatO, as well as the treasure house, that had since old been expanded and given a gilded dome in the form of the Navel Stone, which became thus a part of his royal palace.
In the present, a gold-studded wooden chair stands above the Navel Stone, which is still considered one of the most important attributes of the King of Hannai's reign. Although there have been a number of dynastic changes in Hannai, it is still ruled by a king and was considered the most important city of the Tarib for most of the history.
Hannai, due to its position near the northern end of the caravan routes on which trade goods from the steppe and the Sa'atik areas even further south reach the northern cities, specialized early on in the trade in incense. The city itself and the surrounding area along the Sheyshen produce till now very high-quality writing materials made from papyrus.
Since some rulers and nobles created large parks for hunting outside the city walls, irrigated with the water of the Sheyshen, Hannai and its surrounding area are considered extremely fertile, and the city, with its gilded dome visible from afar, is known as 'The Golden One'.

The German text I wrote in 2023 for my website, the English version of the text was made by me in 2024 with help of the Google Translator (for enhanced vocabulary) and 'Language Tool' (to check spelling).
The graphic I drew in 2023 with a ball pen, it should show Hannai with the dome of its treasure house, some other buildings on the hills of the city and a conventional fortification, as they might be depicted on a coin. Then I scanned the drawing and edited it moderately in GIMP, e.g. put a neat circle around.
