Nemis

Nemis (grandchild / grandson) is a neighbouring town of Hannai and is located a little further west than Hannai, further to the upper reaches of the Sheyshen. This city was founded in 1747 YatO of Washan Dusatim on the site of a silk weaving village, the name of which has not been recorded.

Washan Dusatim was a Hannian prince who, as the fourth son of the youngest brother of the heir to the throne at the time, so as one of the reigning king's many grandchildren, did not think, he would ever reach the throne in Hannai, so he wanted to get into the silk trade. The founding of the city itself consisted of building a wall around the village's centre and the place, that Washan Dusatim had chosen for his palace. The construction of the palace was begun during his lifetime, but was only completed under the reign of his son Farhan, who actually became King of Hannai in 1797 YatO and left the palace in Nemis to his own son. The city, founded by Washan Dusatim, lost its independence due to a royal decree from Farhan and was considered the 'Prince City' of Hannai ever since. Around the year 2000 YatO, the title 'Prince of Nemis' no longer indicated any family relationship between the titleholder and the King of Hannai, but rather was the official title of Hannai's dependent administrator of the palace and the city.

The silk from Nemis, which brought comfortable prosperity to the city as it had previously brought to the village, has since then been rightly referred to as Hannaian silk. There are extensive mulberry groves all around the city, whose leaves are used for silk farming, but the fruits are also processed into all kinds of specialities and are very popular among the Tarib.
