--a poem I wrote that's deeply embeded in the plot line of ASPS [link] <-- please go see the layout and tell me what to add. I want to please people... and yes, I did put this up yesterday and then deleted it 'cause I decided I hated it. And then I felt bad for deleting it. Now I feel bad about posting it again and some poeple have to gag at it twice. >_<
I don't usually do this ... but I'll translate the picture and poem. The sky in the poem is not a blue mass... it refers to the Sin Lin ... (angelos) who were known as 'The Sky' ... they lived with God, there was no setting sun, so there was no dawn ever. Just the glorious light of God, the Dawn. The 'me' spoken of is the Csherubane Eartomog, his death was the fall of Sky and beginning of the end. Tomorrow's Dawn accompanied by this girl means there is no tomorrow, the black crescent moon (Tahnundune) around her and then name 'Riukiisyn' say so. Her name is dlar'Villinhiniy (a character of ASPS), she was named after a flower with crunchy brown petals and a weak albino stalk [link] ... the name itself means future ... and a very depressed society named it so.
It is only fitting that such a girl would be a dead girl.

My weapon of choice is now a giant candy-cane... O___O Seriously, I'm gonna go and get a whopping candy-cane custom made and then run down the street attacking old ladies... and small dogs. Lots of small dogs.

yes. dlar is generally a tiny person. I didn't draw her incorrectly ... she's just tall ... and wafe like. Shadowish mostly ... is one of the many meanings of 'dlar'.

the folds of the cloth are glorious... and the wings. i think they're wings, they sort of look like smoke or fire as well.. they're absolutely great. reminds me of pop art

Stunning work--the use of simple greyscale colors is wonderful. Design is fantastic and the poem suits the piece nicely. I really don't have any crits as the picture itself seems to be more expressive than anything. Very well done.

ah...alice the 19th u say? yes, i went thru a MAJOR watase phase two years ago. i read ceres vol 1. OVER and OVER and bought the artbook, hung up posters, drew fanart non-stop...and after i read alice 19th...i uh...kinda got outta the phase. i bought it before it hit the shelves. i snuck into the back of the store where the books were in boxes, and purchased it. i didnt like it. she changed her art style and the plot wasnt her usual 'lotsa pretty men' plot. it got me so upset...and then i sorta lost appreciation for watase. she has another manga coming out this summer, though. im still waiting for 'epoturansu' to be released. that looked like such a good manga. she wrote a lot of cool things that never got to america yet...but glad u like
