Public version 3.1a
-Added ability to enable/disable the start tips with regfiles.
-When using Visa, it would still try and apply userframes and start tips. (I missed this one in 3.1)

These are the only two changes in 3.1a. If 3.1 worked for you, then you should NOT install this. Well you can if you want but there is no new features.
I also included StartOrbz 2.1, since this loaded up fine for most people.

There really isnt much more to do with StartOrbz, so only expect bug fixes. If you have suggestions, please let me know. As always, post any bugs, comments, or suggestions.

Thats a common problem with all the 3.+ versions. Version 4 is right around the corner.

Nope. I heard of another start orb changer that can. It uses some kind of loader to do it. I know its here on DA.

Wow, wow, wow! So many comments and issues. Mostly the same posts. All I can say is that StartOrbz4 is going thru a recode. I adapted some techniques from AuthinaUI to StartOrbz, so its kind of a mess. I can say this, I did fix most bugs that were reported. The reason it wouldnt load for some is because I told StartOrbz to use a size that had a decimal (width=120.8). So that was preventing StartOrbz from loading. You would get the black screen and only see it in the taskbar. Once I made it a whole number, it loaded fine. Problem was I found other bugs too.

So if you really want to know whats happening, go the Facebook page and check in. Thats where I will let users know that Im working on StartOrbz again. Till then, if it doesnt work. Dont report it, cuz there is nothing I can do ATM. Do ask for help with the app, but NO BUG REPORTS.

Is there any good way to make semicircle orbs that reach the edge of the task bar? The only way I've been able to accomplish this is by ramping up the size all the way after adjusting the edges, and this causes the orb to be taller than the task bar so that it doesn't fit. :<

Hi there, I use the latest version of windows 7 ultimate and i always get the message: unable to unlock explorer.exe Your latest version 3.1a isnΒ΄t working at all for me it just starts (tskmanager) but no window is popping up! Do you have any advice? With your version 2.1 it is also not working and gives me the error message: unable to unlock explorer.exe

Please help me if you can: Myabe you have any workarounf on this or a hint how I could get this to work with windows 7 ultimate 64 bit edition

when i run startorbz, it appear on the taskbar, if i hover the startorbz I see the blue UI, but it don't appear the UI windows, so I can't do anything with it..

Strange, but its always shows me a message "Explorer may be open by another program..." on all my PCs with W7sp1x64 and W7x32 But where is no any launched programs, but it's always appeared even after reboot. What's can it be?

Microsoft recently released it's first service pack for Windows 7 computers. Lots of people are having trouble now due to this service pack.

I personally decided to install it, and after reboot my original "explorer.exe" was restored. But after I went into the program again I was able to switch it back successfully.
